This oil painting is a gentle reflection of the past from the depths of my heart. In the picture, a slightly old wooden table stands quietly, witnessing countless changes of day and night, and carrying my deep attachment to home.
On the table, I specially laid a piece of blue fabric with red and white stripes, which was sewn by my mother when she was young. The wrinkles and wear on the fabric are the traces left by time, silently telling the stories of the past. Every time I see this piece of fabric, it's as if I can hear my mother's soft whispers and feel the warmth and peace from the family.
In the background, I deliberately blurred the outline of a wall, using light yellow strokes to create a hazy and soft atmosphere. This processing not only preserves the sense of hierarchy in the picture, but also allows the viewer's thoughts to fly freely, as if they can travel through time and space, returning to those quiet and beautiful moments.
When creating this painting, I attempted to capture and convey a serene and slightly melancholic emotion. This emotion stems from both nostalgia for the past and some reflection on current life. I hope that through this painting, viewers can feel a sense of inner peace and relief, while also triggering profound reflections on their own lives.
